I’m an avocado queen so naturally I though I’d share this chart with you all. Whenever you go to the produce section in search of avocados, remember the darker, the more ripe.
Also you should be able to gently press into the avocado. But not too soft!

You don’t have to be sentimental to comprehend and oppose the infliction of injustice.
This poor baby was tortured and burned, and the injuries were so serious that he couldn’t make it. According to one of the vets, moments before he died, the puppy was still attempting to wag his tail. His low blood pressure indicated that such movement was out of the question. It breaks my heart that to the end Justice expressed his purity and hopefulness — despite the horrific circumstances.
I just can’t believe the people sometimes.

ASA and I talked about donating the profits to a cause, and it’s been decided that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross to benefit victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.

Although I am certainly disappointed that the announced College Park restaurants did not include a vegetarian or vegan place (despite how students have repeatedly voiced their desire for such options), I do look forward to trying the vegan options at the businesses. I did some research about each restaurant to assess the vegan accessibility of each. Read more!
Maybe we can have a Vegan Club social/meeting at some of these places (I’m thinking Coolberry or Pie Five, whichever one has a better atmosphere!)
