Vegan Club is making geeky food for Fall Food Fair (most other participating groups will be making ethnic foods).
I am thinking of chocolate covered snitches, pumpkin pasties, cornish pasties (Harry Potter foods). And maybe Captain America cupcakes or kryptonite cupcakes. Spiderman cupcakes! Batman cupcakes? c:
I kind of want to make hasperat but I don’t know if many people would get the reference?
If you have any suggestions, please let me know! Someone suggested Hunger Games food, but I don’t know if people would remember the food unless they read the book (I personally want to try making that raspberry soup mentioned).
Any suggestions? c:
What if we just made breakfast foods (tofu scramble and pancakes) and called it Second Breakfast? Are there a lot of LOTR fans out there? I also found a recipe for lembas bread c: That’s if we want to have a singular theme though. Idk, I am just obsessed with breakfast food. And LOTR is awesome.
Anyway, here are the ideas we have gathered so far from Tumblr suggestions and my own ideas:
- Spiderman Cupcakes
- Chocolate Covered Snitches
- Pokeball Cupcakes
- Cornish Pasties
- Lembas Bread
The Hunger Games seems to be one of the most popular fandoms right now, but making Mockingjay cupcakes would take FOREVER, and as far as making food from the books/movies—I’m not sure if everyone would get the references? Raspberry soup, carrot soup, shortbread cookies—for example, those are foods mentioned in the books/movies, but would people remember them? Or would they not care and buy it anyway just because it’s Hunger Games related?Ugh, I wish we could know for sure how many hardcore fans will be at the sale and which fandoms they are into.We should just invite Tumblr, honestly. hahaha, then we would have no problem with people getting all the references!
Ideas, anyone?
